Hit the Ground Running

My Uncle Jack inspired this song. He once told me a story of how he lost his brakes on one of the most dangerous logging roads in the high North Country of California. Story goes he jumped out just in time, hit the ground running, not a scratch on him.

My father always told me a story of his first day in Vietnam. This is my version of that day, that event, that story.
